RUNNING

I’m tired Lord, my feet are hurting,
My bones are weary, my back is sore.
I just can’t keep on going Lord,
I can’t run from you a minute more.

I’ve always known, I've never doubted
That I was born to live for you.
Yet you never tried to force me Lord,
You just let me do what I wanted to.

I’ve been going around in circles Lord,
Because I wouldn’t hearken to your voice,
Now I surrender to you my Lord,
For in this matter there is no choice.

I’m running now but not away,
I’m running home to you.
I’m crying Lord but not from pain,
I’m crying out to you.

I want to live for you my Lord,
I want to be reborn.
And the though the world calls out to me,
It’s only you I’m focused on.

I’m ready Lord and I’m still running.
I know just what I need to do.
I’m running away from the world my Lord
And towards eternity with you.
